Civil construction uses many different drilling types and methods. Shoring and anchoring, tie back walls, caissons and foundations, all require holes to be drilled. Many different types and styles of drill rigs are also used in the construction field. Drills are also retro-fitted to use high pressure jet grouting heads, a practice which is becoming more common in North America. Many building sites are located on ground that has questionable stability around it, and a tie back wall is used to retain the formation around the excavation. Anchor bars, both hollow and solid, are installed at various angles to support and stabilize the wall. Larger "H" beam piles keep the wall securely in place. Larger diameter pipes are installed as support piles, or footings for the building. Earthquake protection and seismic upgrading also employ methods which drills are used for.
Pinnacle Drilling Products specializes in tooling designed for the construction market. We carry double lead
rotary casing in left and right hand threads. We also supply triple lead left and right hand
percussion casing, as well as various styles of crown bits for drills employing air rotary with top head percussion. We also offer drill steel, downhole hammers and bits, as well as all tooling required to run inside and beyond the casing. We also specialize in both the Symmetrix style, and eccentric style overburden systems for drills that rely on the downhole hammer to advance casings into unstable formations. Larger diameter downhole hammers and overburden systems for piling and foundation work are other specialty items we offer. Pinnacle also are suppliers of hollow anchor bars, or soil nails. We carry R-32, R-38, as well as 30/16 and 40/20 bar, couplers, bits, and nuts.
